More troubles for Diddy as another woman files sex assault lawsuit
A former model identified as Crystal McKinney has filed a lawsuit over allegations that the embattled US rapper and business mogul, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2003.
In a filing on Tuesday at the federal district court in Manhattan, McKinney who is now the sixth person accusing Diddy of sexual assault narrated what transpired between her and the rapper.
She claimed that she met Diddy when she attended a Men’s Fashion Week event at Cipriani Downtown in New York.
According to the suit, McKinney, then 22, said the rapper invited her to the New York City space, where he and a group of men were drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.
McKinney said she was offered a joint, which she later came to believe had been laced with a “narcotic or other intoxicating substance”.
After she “insisted that she had enough,” she said Combs pressured her to continue drinking and smoking and “demanded” she follow him to the bathroom.
She alleged that the rapper forced himself on her, began kissing her, shoved her head down to his crotch, and commanded her to “suck it”.
She claimed that she refused, alleging that Diddy “pushed my head down and forced oral sex”.
McKinney said she lost consciousness but later woke up in a taxi, and realised that she had been sexually assaulted.
She claimed she was subsequently blackballed from the modeling industry, got severely depressed and attempted suicide in 2004.
McKinney said she “knew she had a moral obligation to speak up” following the lawsuits filed by Cassie, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, and other women.
The rapper first made headlines in November 2023, when Cassie accused him of rape, abuse, and human trafficking during their 10-year relationship. The lawsuit was, however, settled out of court one day after it was filed.
Shortly after his case with Cassie, Diddy was accused of sexual assault in a lawsuit filed in the Manhattan supreme court. A woman named Joi Dickerson-Neal accused Diddy of drugging and raping her when she was a college student at Syracuse University in 1991.
A third woman, on the same day, accused the rapper of sexual assault. The lady alleged that Diddy and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall took turns raping her and a friend in New York City more than 30 years ago.
In December, Diddy was accused of sexual assault by a fourth victim. A woman accused Diddy, Harve Pierre, the former Bad Boy Entertainment president, and a third individual of sex trafficking and gang rape when she was 17.
On February 26, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a former producer and videographer for Diddy, filed a lawsuit alleging that the rapper sexually harassed and drugged him.
The latest was filed on Tuesday by McKinney.

“I went to Sweden for a show but decided to settle down there since my girlfriend was Swedish. I was a house husband. What do you want me to do? I should go and work?” he explained.
“My wife was working but when I go for a show, I make five times what she earns in a month. I was a house husband but I was comfortable. I had my baby, my wife can’t be the one taking care of the baby and working at the same time.”
However, the marriage came to an end during the COVID-19 lockdown. May D explained that he was stuck in Nigeria at the time, which led to his wife filing for divorce.
“We got divorced during COVID-19 because I got stuck in Nigeria. That was how she divorced me. You know they think different from us,” he said.

Controversial singer Speed Darlington has been granted bail by an Abuja court after police arraigned him following public pressure
Controversial Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been granted bail by an Abuja court after the Nigeria Police Force arraigned him following public and legal pressure.
Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, announced the development on X (formerly Twitter), stating:
“Police finally arraigns Speed Darlington in court. Bail application moved and granted. We are trying to perfect same.”
Although details of the bail remain undisclosed, this marks a significant turn in the singer’s legal saga. The case arose after Okoye’s arrest and detention, reportedly linked to his allegations against Grammy Award-winning singer Burna Boy and Sean Combs (P. Diddy).
Okoye had earlier petitioned Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Dasuki Galadanchi of the Force Intelligence Bureau in Abuja, challenging his continued detention.
In the petition, he urged compliance with a December 23, 2024, court order issued by Justice M.S. Liman. The order directed the police to either arraign him within 48 hours or release him unconditionally.
The police ultimately complied by arraigning him, leading to the bail ruling. Legal experts see this as a pivotal case underscoring the importance of upholding judicial orders and ensuring accountability in law enforcement practices.
