Ondo State Police arrest three suspects in connection with Obesere attack, recovering stolen items and working to track other individuals involved

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested three suspects linked to the recent Obesere attack in Okitipupa town. The Fuji musician and his crew were reportedly assaulted on Friday following a performance at a burial ceremony.

Reacting to the incident, Okitipupa Local Government Chairman, Soga Andrew Ogunsakin, condemned the attack and assured the public of swift action.

He confirmed the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of items reported stolen during the assault.

“Upon receiving the report on the unfortunate incident involving Obesere, I immediately swung into action to ensure accountability and restore calm.

I’m pleased to inform the public that three suspects connected to the disturbance have been arrested, while efforts are ongoing to track down other individuals involved.

Some items said to have been stolen have also been successfully recovered,” Ogunsakin stated on his Facebook page.

He added that he had contacted Obesere’s management to schedule a meeting to express his concern and discuss the matter further. Authorities continue to investigate the incident to ensure all perpetrators are held accountable.
