The actress made the remarks in a detailed Instagram post while reflecting on her role in Mo Abudu’s Blood Sisters 2, where she portrayed the character Kemi Sanya.

Isime revealed that she fully immersed herself in the role, taking deliberate steps to disconnect from her personal identity in order to deliver an authentic performance.

She said the transformation required her to “evacuate Nancy Isime” so that the character could completely take over during filming.

According to her, the process came with emotional and physical demands, as she often had to isolate before and during production to maintain focus and depth in her performance.

The actress noted that the intensity of the role left her unable to take on other projects for about two months after filming, describing the experience as both draining and fulfilling.

“Acting isn’t a hobby to me. It’s not a money-making scheme. It is my life,” she wrote, adding that she feels blessed to earn a living from her passion.

Isime expressed gratitude to the production team behind the project, including Netflix, EbonyLife Studios, writers, directors, and crew members, for creating what she described as a “performer’s dream”.

She also praised her fanbase, saying they deserve consistent excellence and inspiration from her work.
