Nancy Isime Yemi Alade friendship began in hardship as the Nollywood star recalls Yemi’s kindness during her early career struggles and their lasting connection

Nancy Isime has shared a deeply personal story reflecting on the early days of the Nancy Isime Yemi Alade friendship. At just 17, the actress worked as a model and usher, often returning home late without transport.

In a heartfelt post, she said, “Yes, my family was always worried, especially my dad, but I’m a dangerous gyal and it’s best to let me figure out life my way, else the rebellion is quite rebellious.”

During this time, she reached out to Yemi Alade. The singer welcomed her into her home with no hesitation. Nancy stayed for weeks, and Yemi never complained once.

“I stayed for weeks and this woman NEVER EVER complained. In fact, the peace was too much,” she shared.

Nancy described Yemi as considerate, calm, and full of positive energy. Her kindness left a lasting mark.

“Many years later, I still have the softest spot for Yemi and will eternally be grateful to her for being one of the bookmarks of kindness and generosity in my life.”

Later, after securing university admission, Nancy got an apartment in the same building as Yemi. Their bond only grew stronger.
