Nkechi Blessing reveals she paused acting after receiving a ₦1 million weekly salary from an anonymous benefactor due to low Nollywood earnings

During a recent episode of Curiosity Made Me Ask hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, Nkechi Blessing Sunday shared that she was anonymously placed on a ₦1 million weekly salary a gesture she said came when acting roles were not financially rewarding.

“Someone anonymously put me on a ₦1 million weekly salary because I wasn’t getting paid enough for movie roles — that’s why I took a break from acting,” she explained.

The actress emphasized that acting in Nollywood often left her with little or no profit, stating, “I can’t shoot a movie and I might not even make up to ₦1 million profit from it.”

When asked by the host if the benefactor was still anonymous, Nkechi responded bluntly,

“It’s not your business.”
