The House of Oduduwa has denied ever issuing a statement against the online streaming of Moremi The Musical.

Freelanews recalls that there had been rambling in the media against the popular movie producer, Bolanle Austen-Peters, recent movie to stream the musical drama on Youtube.

Austen-Peters didn’t only go ahead despite the distractions to stream the stage drama, she also insisted that she didn’t breach any agreement as the intellectual property right belongs to Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions.

“We have the right on the intellectual property ownership of the play, as the signed MoU is a legal document that clearly stipulates the rights and entitlements of the collaborating parties on the project,” the producer of Moremi the Musical, Joseph Umoibom said in a statement.

In a statement signed by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the referred monarch clarified that there was no disagreement on the drama.

“House of Oduduwa has come to learn of a dispute between QMA under the House of Oduduwa and Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions over the right to stream Moremi the Musical on Youtube.

“HoOF completely disassociates itself from from all unauthorised statements purportedly issued on its behalf seeking to condemn the streaming of the play or seek redress,” Ooni wrote.

The statement further stated both Princess Ronke Ademiluyi and Austen-Peters are royal and daughters of Oduduwa, hence there is little chance of misunderstanding.

“Austen-Peters, a princess from Awujale Royal Dynasty, and HoOF have a fruitful working relationship in creating and producing the very successful play, while Princess Ademiluyi, the ambassador to QMA initiative, is a princess from the source. There is no way HoOF will be in dispute with its daughters.
