Rema urges Nigeria to Protect Youth, highlighting student kidnappings and warning the country risks its future if children remain unprotected

Nigerian music sensation Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has warned that the country is risking its future by failing to safeguard its young people.

In a brief tweet on Saturday, Rema stressed that Nigeria cannot hope to achieve greatness if its youths, described as the backbone of tomorrow, are left exposed and unsupported.

His comments come amid a renewed wave of student abductions that have gripped several states in recent months.

The most recent and alarming incident occurred at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Niger State, where over 200 students were abducted by gunmen on Friday morning.

The attack has thrown families into panic and reopened wounds from previous school kidnappings, raising urgent questions about the government’s ability to secure educational institutions nationwide.

“Until they protect the youths and allow them to grow into their full potential, Nigeria will never be truly great,” Rema wrote, highlighting the urgent need for action to ensure the safety and future of the country’s students.
