Wumi Toriola and Enioluwa clash unfolded as the actress exchanged pleasantries with fellow actresses Ini Edo and Eniola Ajao when Enioluwa approached and greeted her by name while attempting to embrace her.

Visibly angered, Toriola pushed him back and questioned his manner of address, asking why he would call her directly by her name.

The sharp exchange drew immediate attention from nearby attendees.

Enioluwa quickly sought to clarify, insisting that he had addressed her respectfully, saying “aunty Wumi” rather than simply calling her name.

Toriola, however, maintained her stance, stating that such a greeting was inappropriate and adding that he should have shown greater respect, including prostrating in line with cultural expectations.

The moment, captured on video, has since spread widely across social media platforms.

The incident has triggered mixed reactions online. Some commentators supported the actress, citing cultural norms around age and respect, while others criticised the response as excessive.

In a follow-up reaction on Instagram, Toriola addressed public speculation about her age, defending herself against comparisons and emphasising that appearances could be misleading.

Public records indicate that Enioluwa was born in July 1999, while Toriola was born in July 1988, a detail that has further fuelled online debate over generational expectations and social etiquette.
