In a strongly worded message shared on his social media platforms on Tuesday 23 June 2026, the controversial actor warned men against showing emotional vulnerability in relationships, describing those who cry over women as “losers”.

“Na mumu dey cry for woman. Abomination!” he stated. “A real man never cries because of a woman. Never! If your woman leaves you, wish her well and focus on yourself. Focus on becoming the best and greatest version of yourself.”

Edochie argued that crying over a failed relationship signals weakness and repels other women. “The moment you achieve that, countless beautiful women will flock to you. If you keep crying for a woman, you’re confirming to her and to other women that you’re a loser. Women hate losers,” he added.

The actor encouraged his male followers to follow him on X, where he claims to teach men how to be “real men”.

His latest comments have drawn mixed reactions online, with some users supporting his traditional view of masculinity while others criticised it as toxic and outdated.

Many argued that expressing emotions is a normal part of being human and does not diminish a man’s strength.

This is not the first time Yul Edochie has courted controversy with outspoken views on relationships, marriage and gender roles.

The father of several children has frequently shared advice on handling women, including those who cheat, often positioning himself as a mentor for men navigating modern relationships.
