Yetunde Barnabas stroller controversy has taken over social media after the Nollywood actress fired back at trolls who criticised her for using a stroller for her 3-year-old daughter while in Europe.

Days earlier, the Yoruba movie star and producer — married to Nigerian footballer Peter Olayinka — posted a photo of herself with her daughter Gemma, seated in a stroller. Gemma had just celebrated her third birthday on July 26.

The post sparked a flurry of online comments, with many questioning why a child “too grown” was still in a stroller. In a series of fiery Instagram posts, Yetunde hit back, calling out what she described as shameless and unsolicited parenting advice.

“You fools bullying a 3-year-old on why she still uses a stroller are really shameless. I am not that gentle when it comes to my child o, I will rubbish you,” she wrote.

She explained that long shopping trips in Europe — sometimes lasting over three hours — make a stroller the most practical way to move around with her toddler.

She blasted critics for making “dirty comments” from “their dirty houses” and warned that anyone dropping condescending remarks on her page would be blocked.

Fellow Nollywood star Toyin Abraham also waded in, condemning the online bullying and urging Yetunde to block the offenders. Using colourful Yoruba expressions, Toyin made it clear she despises bullies.

This heated exchange is another reminder that parenting choices remain a deeply personal matter, and unsolicited opinions often do more harm than good.
