In an exclusive interview, she reflects on her early love for acting, the twists and turns of her journey to the big screen, and what she holds most dear in life, love, and her career.

Bolade believes that while beauty may open doors, talent is what sustains a lasting career. “Beauty and talent are important, but I’ll support talent first. Beauty can come with money if you don’t have natural beauty. Talent first,” she told Potpourri.

Her perspective on love is equally candid. “Real love is sweet when you are with an intentional man,” she said, acknowledging her varied experiences.

On being a single mother, she expressed empathy: “Being a baby mama to some is by circumstance, so I don’t really have an intake on that.”

She also keeps a traditional stance on marriage, advising, “A woman should be submissive,” and added confidently, “I can keep a man that wants to be kept.”

For Bolade, acting was a dream nurtured from childhood. Watching Nollywood films sparked her imagination and passion. She admired veterans like Funke Akindele, Sola Sobowale, Bukky Wright, and especially Ronke Odusanya, who inspired her deeply.

Her path to Nollywood wasn’t direct. After years as an entrepreneur, she finally embraced her dream, stating, “I decided to pursue my MAIN dream — acting — which I really enjoy doing the most.”
