Asake’s Lungu Boy wins Best Performing Album at the 2024 TurnTable Awards, breaking records and solidifying his dominance in Afrobeats

 

Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has been honoured with the Best Performing Album of 2024 at the prestigious TurnTable Awards.

His album, Lungu Boy, released on 9th August 2024, is his third studio project and has cemented his position as a dominant force in the music industry.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the TurnTable Charts and remained at the top for an impressive 15 consecutive weeks, setting a new record for the longest time an album has held the position.

This marks the third time an Asake project has received this accolade, highlighting his consistency and widespread appeal.

Asake also retained his title as TurnTable’s No. 1 Artist of the Year for the third year in a row, a testament to his continued success and influence in the industry.
