Afrobeat star Tiwa Savage reveals she once had a secret romance with a Nigerian celebrity, calling it a ‘deeply disrespectful’ experience

Speaking on Joe Budden’s podcast, the award-winning singer said the unnamed celebrity insisted their romance remain private.

According to her, he would openly flirt with other women in her presence, claiming it was a tactic to keep suspicions away.

“I am a public figure and he is as well. He said he didn’t want us to go public, and I said okay. But when we went out, he would be talking, laughing, and even touching other ladies while looking at me like, ‘Don’t worry, it’s nothing.

I’m just doing it so people don’t suspect,’” Tiwa recounted.

The singer said the pattern left her humiliated at several public events.

“It was happening right in front of me and I couldn’t say anything. It’s a disrespect,” she added.
