Fans and celebrities alike have since weighed in on the situation, with many offering their thoughts and advice.

In response to the growing discourse, Blackface addressed the couple in an open letter shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

He urged them to remain respectful towards each other despite their marital challenges and reminded them of their influence as public figures.

“My open letter to Innocent Idibia and Annie Macaulay Idibia. I send you good tidings, Mr and Mrs Idibia. I’m reaching out at this time to remind us to show decorum and be civil with whatever proceedings you may be going through,” Blackface wrote.

He went on to emphasise the responsibility they bear as role models, urging them to set a positive example for the younger generation while also maintaining the pride of the older generation.
