Speed Darlington tells fans to stop advising him on his feud with Burna Boy, insisting he will do as he pleases despite recent controversies

 

 

Controversial Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has lashed out at fans advising him to end his feud with Burna Boy, insisting he will continue to act on his own terms.

In a viral Instagram video, Darlington dismissed those urging him to move on, saying, *“If you are tired of supporting me, get lost. Let my God guide me.”*

He also claimed that many of his so-called supporters do not contribute financially to his career, adding, *“Support, support, how many of you spend money? I spend my own money, so shut up.”*

His statement comes shortly after parting ways with his lawyer, Stanley Alieke, whose firm, Law Capitol, announced its separation from the singer.

The split follows Darlington’s recent release from detention, where he was held for allegedly cyberstalking Burna Boy.

Taking another swipe at Burna Boy, Darlington accused him of hypocrisy, writing, *“Always singing about police brutality in Nigeria, yet he proceeds to hire police to hold me longer.”*

The feud between the two musicians escalated in 2024 after Darlington mocked Burna Boy’s alleged relationship with American rapper Diddy, claiming it influenced his Grammy win.

He later released a diss track titled *Baby Oil*, which gained traction on Spotify Nigeria.

Despite his legal troubles, Darlington remains defiant, stating that he *“went to gather energy and launch back with a banger.
