Nasboi vows to keep his future marriage private, urging Nigerians to stop using celebrity divorces to define relationships

Nigerian singer and content creator Nasboi has announced his intention to keep his future marriage private when the time comes.

In a statement shared on his X handle, Nasboi revealed that he will avoid making his marriage public to protect it from unsolicited opinions and online scrutiny.

The content creator made these remarks amid the intense reactions following 2Baba’s recent announcement of his divorce from wife, Annie.

Nasboi expressed a desire to keep his personal life away from public eyes, stating: “I’ll hide my marriage when I’m ready. Nothing online, please, please! I don’t want some random child having opinions about my life.”

In another post, Nasboi took the opportunity to address the way Nigerians tend to look at celebrity marriages. He urged people to stop using high-profile divorces as a benchmark for their own relationships.

“One celebrity divorce, and you start saying this thing called marriage isn’t for you. But you forget about your parents, who’ve been married for over 30-something years. Stop using celebrity marriages to define marriage. If you don’t want to marry, that’s your business,” he wrote.

Nasboi’s comments come as the public continues to react to the separation of 2Baba and Annie, prompting wider discussions on the pressures faced by celebrity couples.
