Nigerian actress Blessing Onwukwe has revealed that she earned over ₦1 million for her role in the YouTube movie Monica 2, describing it as her highest-paid acting job to date.

The actress disclosed this while speaking about her experience on the production, noting that despite the short filming schedule, the project remains her most financially rewarding role.

“I was paid over ₦1 million for ‘Monica 2.’ It’s the highest I’ve received for a movie,” she said.

Her comment has since generated widespread discussion about earnings in Nollywood’s growing digital film ecosystem, particularly within fast-paced YouTube productions.

Onwukwe also shared details about the production timeline, revealing the rapid pace at which both parts of the film were shot.

“We shot ‘Monica 1’ in five days and ‘Monica 2’ within seven days,” she added.
