Chidi Mokeme reacts to Omotola Ekeinde naming him her favourite actor, flooding DMs and expressing admiration on Instagram

Nollywood actor Chidi Mokeme has expressed delight following a warm tribute from fellow actress Omotola Ekeinde. The revelation came during an interview with Pulse TV, where Omotola named Mokeme as her favourite actor.

Responding on Instagram, Mokeme shared that his direct messages have been flooded with reactions from Omotola’s fans. “Our Favourite Actor’s Favourite Actor. All my O’Sexy fam have been flooding my DM with this clip. Thanks, fam. Love You @realomosexy. We Stay Intentional. Eze Nnunu,” he wrote.

Mokeme previously took a hiatus from the industry due to a battle with Bell’s Palsy, which affected one side of his face.

Doctors initially indicated that the condition was incurable, forcing him to limit public appearances.

In 2022, he made a notable return, starring in Ini Edo’s Netflix film, Shanty Town, reigniting his career in Nollywood.

The 51-year-old actor, celebrated for his enduring impact on the industry, described himself as a “Game Changer” and praised collaborations with younger talents, noting that he continues to inspire peers like Bolanle Ninalowo.

Ninalowo acknowledged Mokeme’s influence, wishing him longevity and prosperity.

Mokeme has also remained in the spotlight for memorable on-set moments, including a reunion kiss with Kate Henshaw, a longstanding friendship of over 30 years, and candid admissions of admiration for colleagues such as Chioma Akpotha and director Kemi Adetiba.

He further paid tribute to legendary singer 2baba, highlighting the artist’s humility and integrity.
