Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha is celebrating her 46th birthday with a powerful message of gratitude and intention.

Sharing on her Instagram page on Thursday, the AMVCA award-winning star thanked God for life, grace, preservation, and faithfulness throughout every season.

Akpotha declared that this new year marks a time of being “covered, preserved, and strengthened,” quoting Psalm 138:8 to affirm that it is “the beginning of better.”

In a follow-up post, she emphasised personal boundaries and intentional living.

The actress wrote that she will no longer meet people halfway or put others before herself, focusing instead on God, family, purpose, and giving her best to her work.

“Grateful heart, on the edge of a new year. This season, I choose wisely and intentionally,” she wrote. “A year to soar higher, achieve more, and step fully into all God has prepared.”

Last year marked a successful season for Chioma. She won the Best Lead Actress award at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for her performance in Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors.

She also celebrated reaching 100,000 subscribers on YouTube, acknowledging the milestone as a testament to her fans’ support.

Family, friends, and colleagues joined in celebrating her birthday, with Femi Adebayo sharing a heartfelt tribute.

He described Chioma’s talent as “pure magic,” her humour as infectious, and her energy as unmatched.
