Mofe Duncan announces his father’s passing in a heartfelt tribute, remembering Josbert Thomas Kofi Duncan as his “Champion.”

Nigerian actor Mofe Duncan has announced the death of his father, Josbert Thomas Kofi Duncan, who passed away on March 10, 2026.

The actor shared the news in an emotional post on Instagram, paying tribute to the man he described as his “Champion” and “sweet old pops.”

In the message, Duncan reflected on the profound loss while expressing gratitude for his father’s life and the values he imparted.

Despite the grief, the actor said he found comfort in the belief that his father now watches over him.

“And then my Daddy slept. My sweet old pops has gone to be with the Lord. My Champion has transcended. Thank you, Daddy… truly. I will celebrate you,” Duncan wrote.

He added that although his heart is broken, he draws strength from the thought that his father has become “another angel watching over” him.

Duncan, who has often shared glimpses of his personal life with fans, received an outpouring of sympathy and support from colleagues and followers after the announcement.
