The veteran Nollywood actor, visibly emotional in a video shared online, dismissed claims that he suffered a stroke and was abandoned by his sons while his daughter cared for him. He clarified that he does not even have three sons and has never granted any interview suggesting such.

“These lies are heartbreaking,” Ohameze said tearfully, adding that repeated false reports about his health have caused deep distress to his family. “First, they said I was dead. Now, they say I had a stroke. Who did I grant the interview to?”

Determined to protect his reputation, the actor revealed he has already involved the authorities. “I called my friend who is a director in the DSS and I have initiated a police case. This is cybercrime, and I will not allow anyone tarnish my image just for cheap popularity.”

Ohameze emphasized the devastating impact of misinformation, noting how it has unfairly forced his loved ones into emotional turmoil. “Fortunately, only my daughter heard about it. Why would people do this to me?” he asked.

With legal action now underway, the actor sent a stern warning to those who exploit his name for traffic: “Go get popularity somewhere else. You won’t find it at the expense of my image.”
