In a video released on Saturday, the veteran Nollywood actor addressed the false narrative shared by a Facebook user, stressing that both the police and the Department of State Services (DSS) have been alerted to the cybercrime.

The viral post falsely claimed that the 60-year-old actor had been suffering from a stroke for over 20 years and alleged that only his daughter cared for him while his sons abandoned him.

The fabricated post quoted him as saying his daughter had been his sole caretaker for decades—a claim Ohameze strongly denied.

“I have initiated a police case. I have sent his number and name to them. This is a cybercrime. I will not let someone rubbish me just like that for cheap popularity because you want to attract traffic to your page,” Ohameze said in the video.

The actor expressed frustration over repeated false narratives about his life, recalling previous rumors about his death and now a supposed stroke.
