Nigerian star Davido reflects on his journey as he turns 32, sharing gratitude with fans and donating ₦300M to orphanages for his birthday.

 

 

Nigerian Afrobeats icon David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared heartfelt reflections on his life as he celebrated his 32nd birthday on Thursday, November 21.

The ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ hitmaker took to social media platform X to express gratitude for life, his fans, and the blessings that have come his way despite life’s challenges.

“Big 32 soon! Omo, God is good. Happy to be alive! My eyes don see shege! But steady my fans dey shout shekpe!” Davido wrote, blending gratitude with a candid acknowledgment of his struggles.

The superstar, known for his chart-topping hits and vibrant stage presence, reminded fans that his journey has not always been smooth. Nevertheless, he emphasised his deep appreciation for their unwavering support.

In keeping with his philanthropic spirit, Davido announced a generous donation of ₦300 million to orphanages across Nigeria in honour of his 32nd birthday.

This mirrors a similar gesture he made in 2021, when he celebrated turning 29 with a comparable donation.
