Mr Real apologises D’banj, retracting comments over CREAM platform dispute and pledging cooperation to resolve the matter amicably

Nigerian rapper Okafor Victor, professionally known as Mr Real, has publicly apologised to music mogul D’banj over his earlier remarks regarding the Creative Reality Entertainment Art & Music (CREAM) platform.

Mr Real had previously accused D’banj of failing to honour a N20 million ambassadorial agreement, questioning the credibility of the CREAM platform, which D’banj claimed was worth $3 billion.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Monday, Mr Real expressed regret for the tone and public nature of his comments, describing D’banj as “a very big role in my career.”

He said, “I misunderstood and misinterpreted some things concerning CREAM, and I want to use this opportunity to say I’m very, very sorry. I have withdrawn my comments and will not make further public statements while cooperating to resolve this matter amicably.”

The apology follows reports that D’banj, through his legal representatives, petitioned against Mr Real. The rapper’s U-turn underscores an effort to preserve professional relationships within the Nigerian music industry.
