Yemi Elesho childhood revelation stuns fans as he shares the emotional story of discovering his real father, Nollywood legend Adewale Elesho, at age 10

Yemi Elesho childhood revelation has stirred strong emotions online as the popular Nigerian comedian opened up about a surprising chapter of his early life — he didn’t know veteran Nollywood actor Adewale Elesho was his father until he was nearly 10.

In a heartfelt conversation with actress Biola Bayo, Yemi recalled how the life-changing moment came while watching a movie with his mother.

“I grew up in Oyo, and till I was about 10, I didn’t know Elesho was my dad,” Yemi said. “One day, we were watching a film and my mum said, ‘That is your dad.’”

Raised primarily by his mother and grandmother, Yemi revealed he never asked questions out of fear or uncertainty.

But the longing to meet his father eventually drove him to take a bold step  he ran away from home to Lagos, leaving behind a note asking his mother not to search for him.

Despite the heavy emotions tied to his past, the interview ended on a lighter note, with Yemi expressing deep appreciation for nightlife figure Yhemo Lee.

“Shout out to Yhemo Lee. Whenever we’re out with him, he pays the bills,” he said with a laugh. “None of us had to worry about anything.”
