Barely 24 hours after the Lagos State Police Command declared Owodunni Ibrahim popularly known as Primeboy wanted, the friend of the late singer has turned himself in.

The Police said it declared Primeboy wanted after his failure to honour the police invitation successfully sent to him since the commencement of the investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Mohbad last month.

Lagos police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, on his X handle, described Ibrahim to be “approximately 1.64-m tall, male, dark-complexioned with tribal marks and Yoruba by the tribe.”

He added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, was offering a sum of ₦1 million to anyone with useful information leading to his arrest.

In his defense, however, Primeboy who arrived the SCID in company with his lawyer, claimed that he had never been summoned by the Police and was surprised to have been declared wanted.

He had, a few days after Mohbad’s death on September 12, denied allegations of an altercation with the deceased singer after rumours surfaced on social media claiming the two had a rift before his demise.

In a related development, a magistrate’s court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, has remanded Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Ogedengbe Fisayo and Ayobami Sadiq for alleged conspiracy in the murder of singer Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Adeola Olatubosun, ordered the remand for 21 days in the police State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCID) and adjourned the case until October 25.
She also ordered that the suspects should be granted access to medicals and lawyers of their choice.

They are charged with conspiracy and suspected murder.

However, Nollytrailers quoted a source at the SCID as saying that the department is being pressurized by influential figures in the society to release Sam Larry.

“There have been several calls to my boss to release Eletu (Sam Larry), while the investigation continues. A renowned traditional ruler on the Island (names withheld) is always calling, pleading with my boss to release him after interrogation.

“When he became persistent, my boss directed him to the Commissioner of Police (CP), on the ground that he is the only one that can give the order for Eletu’s release or otherwise.”

Since the artiste’s demise both Sam Larry and Naira Marley have come under investigation over allegations of bullying and harassment.
