Doyin Kukoyi debunks marriage to Ogogo, clarifying that speculations about a romantic link with the veteran Nollywood actor are unfounded.

In an interview on journalist Seun Oloketuyi’s YouTube channel, the actress and broadcaster explained that the rumor started after she posted a photo from a movie set where she and Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, played husband and wife.

“I was at a movie location with Ogogo, we both played the movie roles of husband and wife where our daughter got married. The two of us took a picture, and I shared it on my social media page.

Some people took out the picture and started saying that we were married. Till today, a lot of people still believe that I’m married to Ogogo,” Kukoyi said.

She added that she posted the image out of admiration for the respected actor: “I took the picture with Ogogo because I loved him.”

Kukoyi, who has spent over three decades in Nollywood and began her media career with Daar Communications, also reflected on her contributions to film and broadcasting.

Rumors of a romantic bond between her and Ogogo first emerged in 2022 when she shared playful photos with him online, captioning them in a way that suggested marriage. She has now firmly put the record straight.
