Nkechi Blessing, the Nollywood actress, says she would have made her relationship with Opeyemi Falegan “work” if they were married.

In a post on her Instagram story on Sunday, the movie star reiterated that she was “never married to anybody.”

She also said that Falegan didn’t pay her bride price, adding that she was only in an “open relationship”.

“I am going to say this for the very last time, I was never married to anybody. My mama no collect the bride price from anybody before she die. Nobody paid a dime on my head,” she wrote in a mixture of Pidgin and English.

“I was only in an open relationship that everyone thought was marriage. If I were to be married, I would have done everything to make it work.

“Just today, a stupid TV station still made reference to my past relationship. Abeg una no dey tire? What the actual f**k.”

In April, the politician — widely assumed to be the film star’s husband — had broken up with her.

Since their split, the pair have been in the public eye, occasionally engaging each other in a war of words.

Falegan had earlier apologised to the actress. He admitted that he “messed up” while telling her “I still love you.”

He would later claim he left the relationship because of her personal hygiene.

According to him, the film star could go “three days without washing her undies.”

Blessing, however, slammed Falegan over the allegation, arguing that she had never worn panties since she turned 18.
