Odera Mbadiwe resurfaces after days missing, recounting his ordeal with harmful substances and thanking Nigerians for their concern and support

The hospitality entrepreneur and elder brother of former Big Brother Naija housemates, the Mbadiwe twins, disclosed that his disappearance stemmed from the ingestion of harmful substances, which left him incapacitated and in a vulnerable state.

In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, Odera recounted how a young woman and a man discovered him in distress by the roadside and contacted his family, helping to secure his safety. He described their intervention as a lifeline in an otherwise frightening experience.

“After missing for three days, I, Odera Mbadiwe of the Ozuomba Mbadiwe family, am deeply thankful to be safe and recovering. It was later discovered that a harmful substance had been introduced to my system by person or persons unknown,” he wrote.

Expressing profound gratitude, he thanked his family, friends, the public, and especially the good Samaritans who came to his aid. He also acknowledged the efforts of the Nigerian police and security agencies in ensuring his safe return.

Odera emphasised that he is regaining strength daily and intends to move forward stronger from the ordeal. “I feel much better now, growing stronger every day and returning to my old self,” he assured his supporters.

His disappearance had sparked widespread concern on social media, with many Nigerians rallying behind the Mbadiwe family during the tense period of uncertainty.
