Diddy sex trafficking case

Prosecutors accuse Diddy of trafficking three women in a 20-year abuse scheme, expanding charges ahead of his May trial in Manhattan

Prosecutors have accused hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of trafficking at least three women as part of a 20-year sexual abuse scheme.

This allegation was made in a new indictment filed on Thursday, further intensifying the high-profile case against the embattled music executive.

The latest three-count indictment does not add new charges but expands on earlier claims by alleging that Combs transported multiple female victims and commercial sex workers across state lines and internationally.

Originally, only one female victim was identified in the first indictment last September.

Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is set to face trial on 5 May in Manhattan federal court. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, reaffirmed his stance, stating, “Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”

The indictment accuses Combs of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.

Prosecutors claim he used his business empire, including Bad Boy Entertainment, to lure and exploit women. Allegations include coercing women into recorded sexual performances known as freak offs with male sex workers and subjecting employees and witnesses to violence.

Additionally, prosecutors said Combs provided victims with drugs such as ketamine, ecstasy, methamphetamine, and psychedelic mushrooms, offering financial and career incentives in return for their participation.

One of the alleged victims is believed to be his ex-girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie (Casandra Ventura), who previously accused him of physical abuse, sexual slavery, and rape in a civil lawsuit that was settled a day after filing.

A 2016 hotel security video, which allegedly shows Combs striking and dragging a woman attempting to leave a freak off, has also surfaced in the case.

While Combs later apologised after CNN aired the footage, his legal team argues it does not prove sex trafficking.
