Regina Chukwu grandmother takes centre stage as actress shares video of her lively, prayerful elder, celebrating family legacy and joy

Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has proudly introduced her aged grandmother to the public, describing her as the oldest woman in her village.

Sharing a video on her Instagram page, Chukwu celebrated her grandmother’s energy, beauty, and prayerful nature.

The light-skinned Yoruba actress urged fans to recognise her as a “woman with three mothers,” referring to her own mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.

In the post, she wrote: “Meet my grandmother. Very energetic. My beautiful nne. My prayerful grandma. Mother that mothered. Call me oni ya metta! I get mama, I get mother-in-law, I still come get grandmother!”

Chukwu’s post resonated with many followers, highlighting the actress’s deep family values and respect for elders.

Earlier this month, Regina Chukwu expressed her distress over a viral AI video featuring deceased actors, including Junior Pope, Amaechi Muonagor, Mr Ibu, and Sam Loco, describing the experience as emotionally overwhelming.

The actress has also opened up about her personal life, recounting the loss of her husband when her youngest child was only four months old.

She revealed that he battled a severe illness that drained his finances before his passing.

Despite her strength, Chukwu shared she sometimes seeks comfort in a hug and reassurance that all will be well.

In December 2023, Regina Chukwu announced she had purchased a house, sharing how life as a single mother had been challenging before her success.

She has also expressed excitement at her role as a mother, honouring her late husband and hinting at future stories about her life, possibly for a film adaptation.
