The actress made the remarks during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, where she expressed concern over the treatment of women in crowded public spaces, particularly in Lagos.

Shine Rosman claimed that many incidents of inappropriate touching in busy marketplaces often go undocumented and receive little public attention.

Referring to experiences in Yaba, Lagos, the actress stated that many women face harassment openly during the day without intervention from authorities or bystanders.

“Do you know how bad sexual harassment is in Lagos? Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately,” she said.

The actress added that many Nigerians are aware of the situation but rarely speak about it or demand action.

Shine Rosman questioned the safety of women in the country, arguing that public harassment could reflect the danger women may face in private environments away from witnesses.

“If a man can sexually harass you casually during the day, what do you think he can do behind closed doors when no one is looking?” she asked.

The actress also raised concerns about the lack of visible action against offenders, insisting that the persistent problem continues to affect women’s confidence and sense of security in public places.
