In a pre-recorded interview aired on Agbaletu TV on Wednesday, the prominent Muslim musician affirmed his strong connection to the Pentecostal church within the Aladura movement, founded by Samuel Oshoffa.

K1 De Ultimate, while discussing his spiritual exploration, stated that his quest to understand God led him to become a member of the CCC, a decision he embraces with pride.

He recounted his journey of exploring both Islam and Christianity in his pursuit of divine knowledge, expressing no regrets for his experiences.

“I attend Celestial church. I am a bonafide member of the celestial church. A proud one. In fact, I built a church. I sought different religions while trying to know God in both popular religions. There’s nowhere I didn’t try to find God,” the Fuji legend revealed.

This disclosure follows the recent viral sensation of his coined phrase, “Ganusi,” which sparked controversy within the Islamic community.

The term, used in reference to some Islamic clerics in the lead-up to his mother’s burial, was interpreted by many as a derogatory remark suggesting that these clerics primarily attend such events for financial gain.

The “Ganusi” comment elicited widespread criticism from various Islamic clerics and other Nigerians who felt the Fuji maestro had denigrated them. However, K1 De Ultimate has stood by his statement, maintaining that he did not err and saw no need for an apology.
