Steve Harvey: Americans stole from Burna Boy and African artists

Renowned American television host and filmmaker, Steve Harvey, has challenged Western sentiments by asserting that Nigerian music icon, Burna Boy, and other African artists didn’t steal from American music but rather the reverse.

Harvey made this assertion in a recent episode of his television show, where he highlighted the profound influence of African beats, rhythm, and soul on Western music, particularly American music.

Contrary to popular claims of plagiarism, Harvey boldly stated, “People claim Burna Boy stole this, no, we stole from Burna Boy. Africans are the beats, soul, rhythm, and hard work that inspire our courage.”

His remarks come amidst ongoing discussions about the global impact of African music and the cultural exchange between Africa and the West.

In response to claims by veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem that he paved the way for artists like Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, Odumodublvck dismissed such assertions as attempts to appropriate “God’s glory,” stressing that true success can only come from individual effort and divine intervention.
