The artist has publicly denied any romantic involvement with controversial crossdresser Bobrisky, a statement that comes amidst an ongoing defamation lawsuit Falz has filed against social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM).

The lawsuit stems from VDM’s alleged leak of a phone conversation between Falz and Bobrisky, which occurred while the singer was in prison last year.

The leaked audio rapidly circulated, igniting widespread speculation regarding the nature of Falz’s connection with Bobrisky.

In a recent interview with Arise TV on Wednesday, Falz provided an update on the legal proceedings. He revealed that VDM has yet to present a defence in court.

“The court has thrown out their preliminary objection, so they now have to enter a defense or the court will rule on the case,” Falz stated, indicating that the legal process is moving forward despite the lack of a response from the defendant.

Addressing the central point of contention – his alleged relationship with Bobrisky – Falz was unequivocal. He asserted that he had never had a romantic relationship with the crossdresser, explaining that his only contact was driven by compassion.

“He messaged me on Instagram saying he was in a case and wanted to speak about how I could help. Like many others, I gave him an audience to understand how I could assist,” Falz explained, highlighting that his interaction with Bobrisky was no different from how he might engage with other individuals seeking assistance.

Reflecting on the entire ordeal, the socially conscious singer admitted that the experience has left him more cautious. “Once bitten, twice shy.

I may not help anyone again, or at least I will be much more conscious going forward,” he added, suggesting a newfound wariness in offering unsolicited support.

The legal battle continues to unfold, with public interest remaining high in this prominent Nigerian entertainment and legal saga.
