“Happy Mother’s Day to me. For never giving up, even on the days it would have been easier to walk away. For always showing up, with courage, faith and determination,” the actress wrote.

The Nollywood star added that belief in her purpose helped her overcome moments of doubt, explaining that she had chosen self-love, growth and perseverance despite the obstacles she encountered.

According to Tonto Dikeh, the journey has also involved rewriting her life story and refusing to be defined by her beginnings.

The actress said faith and determination continue to shape the direction of her future.

Tonto Dikeh also used the occasion to acknowledge the role of her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, whom she credited for making her a mother.

In a separate post shared on the day, the actress expressed gratitude for her son and prayed for blessings upon Churchill and his mother, stating that motherhood remains the most meaningful part of her life.

The gesture drew mixed reactions online, with some social media users questioning the public appreciation directed at her former spouse.

However, Tonto Dikeh responded that Churchill remains the only man who has made her a mother and that she would not allow public opinion to dictate her choices.

The former couple share a son who recently turned ten.

To celebrate the milestone birthday, they hosted a football themed party at the BMO Event Centre in Abuja, attended by family and friends.
