Vitalis Ndubuisi oversharing warning urges people to be discreet about personal struggles, saying it can create distance in relationships

Nollywood veteran actor Vitalis Ndubuisi on Monday, April 27, 2026, issued a strong caution against oversharing personal struggles, urging people to be more discreet when discussing private challenges.

Vitalis Ndubuisi made the remarks in a video message where he reflected on the growing habit of publicly sharing personal difficulties in search of emotional relief or understanding.

He explained that while many people believe opening up about their problems will bring comfort or solutions, the outcome is often different in reality.

According to him, excessive disclosure can sometimes lead to misunderstanding and emotional distance rather than support.

“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is to stop telling people everything that is wrong with you,” he said.

He added that people outside one’s personal situation rarely fully understand the depth of what is being experienced, even after detailed explanations.

The actor noted that in some cases, individuals who are confided in may begin to withdraw, creating unintended emotional separation.

Ndubuisi described such behaviour as a common mistake and encouraged greater restraint in handling personal matters.

He stressed that keeping certain struggles private can help preserve relationships and protect emotional wellbeing.
