Nollywood actress Anita Joseph on Wednesday, July 2, 2026, responded strongly to a social media troll who criticised her for publicly celebrating fellow actress and entrepreneur May Edochie’s recent business milestone.

May Edochie had earlier announced the launch of her cosmetics brand on Amazon, a development that attracted congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues, including Anita Joseph, who took to her Instagram page to express excitement over the achievement.

However, the celebratory post sparked mixed reactions online, with a user questioning the significance of the milestone and suggesting that the reaction was exaggerated.

The critic described the celebration as unnecessary, implying that the achievement was not substantial enough to warrant public attention.

Anita Joseph did not hold back in her response, addressing the comment directly and defending her decision to celebrate her colleague’s success.

Responding via her Instagram page, she dismissed the criticism and reaffirmed her support for May Edochie’s growing brand, while also hinting at even bigger future celebrations.

“So someone said, ‘what’s all the noise about? It’s just Amazon na,’” she wrote, mocking the tone of the criticism.

She continued with a firm rebuttal, suggesting that greater achievements were still ahead for May Edochie and would be marked with even louder celebrations.

“Na monarch we go use soon celebrate inukwa. This is how we celebrate over here: thank you and ntorrrrrr,” she added.

The exchange has since generated reactions on social media, with many users praising Anita Joseph for standing by her colleague and encouraging women supporting women in the entertainment and business space.

May Edochie recently launched her cosmetics line, Qm Beauty Cosmetics US, on Amazon, marking another step in her expanding entrepreneurial journey beyond Nollywood and personal branding.
