The actress, popularly known as Wasila Coded, welcomed her second child in July and recently opened up about her ordeal in a heartfelt Instagram post.

Akintunde revealed she battled dangerously low blood pressure throughout the pregnancy, a condition that once caused her to collapse on a movie set in Ikorodu.

“I started battling low blood pressure in January, but I kept strong and continued going to work. I remember collapsing in February while filming,” she recalled.

Her condition meant several emergency trips to the hospital. “I was in and out of the hospital on emergency treatment about six times during the pregnancy,” she said.

Beyond the physical struggles, Akintunde shared that she endured disturbing dreams and frightening prophecies.

She credited her survival to her unwavering faith, saying, “It was indeed a tough and frightening journey, but one thing I know for sure is that God was part of it. He would never leave me alone.”

The turning point came on July 17, when she went to her clinic for treatment and unexpectedly went into labour the next morning. “My heart skipped when the doctor said the baby was coming,” she said.

After almost ten years, I delivered naturally; no C-section, no complications and with the fastest labour recorded in the clinic this year.”
