The actress explained that she deliberately reduced her social engagements because nearly all her income was committed to tuition payments and other educational expenses.

According to her, international tuition fees required careful planning and financial discipline, leaving little room for luxury spending.

In an emotional message shared on social media, Okeowo recalled selling some of her gold jewellery to meet school fee obligations and spending days in tears during video calls with her son while navigating financial pressures.

She urged single parents not to lose hope, stressing that their sacrifices would eventually yield positive results.

The actress acknowledged that many people often assume parents who send their children abroad are financially comfortable. However, she said such assumptions rarely reflect the reality of the responsibilities they carry behind the scenes.
