Bukunmi Oluwasina reacts to claims actors don’t support colleagues in need

Nigerian actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has taken to social media to address recent criticisms suggesting that actors fail to support their colleagues in times of financial need.

Recalls that actress Kemity had earlier shed light on the financial realities faced by many actors, revealing the difficulties encountered by numerous Nollywood stars.

She disclosed that some of her fellow colleagues earn a mere N30k after dedicating an entire week to a movie shoot, while others were fortunate enough to receive as much as N150k.

To support Kemity’s claims, Bukunmi Oluwasina took to her comment section to reveal that their colleagues living fake lives on social media are the ones giving the audience wrong views about them, as many believe they are rich

She said, God bless our good heart aunty Kemi. Please guys let’s always try to help anytime we can IF we can. There are no lies in everything she has said. I think this retirement plan thing should be a vital issue in the organisation, that needs to be addressed. on how it could be achieved. The people living fake lives on social media are the ones causing misconceptions. You would think some are millionaires with the kinda impression they create, when they don’t even have up to 500k in their accounts. The very few people who truly have the money don’t even flunt cos most of them are men and investors who don’t care about big cars and house. And they are the ones you ppl tag broke. Irony of life.

But for the ones always seeking validations on social media, Some big cars you see them ride and houses they buy, some still haven’t paid fully for it. And sometimes I don’t blame them either, some of you insult and mock struggling ppl who are public figures. Cos you create a standard for them based on how they are expected to live in your head, making them struggle everyday to meet up with that expectations. Because subconsciously, you believe popularity is wealth.

But no darling, They are two different things. The honest truth is, most of the people you are expecting help from actually codedly need help.

And maybe prayers too. Because even up till now, the little money some suppose to be saving or investing for the time they would be old, they would rather use it to buv a car or travel round the world to take pix that would pepper their haters. Forgetting every single day is the first day of the rest of our lives as we are all moving closer to our graves. It is when the rain is over, that the person with the most beautiful umbrella would know it’s nothing but a stressful luggage.

POV: Please whenever you see things like this, don’t allow those people discourage you from helping You are saving a life. God bless bless you. ❤️💡”

Arewa Amos-Bello stated that she feels every bit of what Queen Naomi feels at the moment because she is also a philanthropist who understands that the former Ife Queen did what she did with good intentions.

She added, “I know she meant well because I’m also into charity. The Ibadan event was not her first nor was it the second. We can only pray that God help her and console the victims.”

“I want to assure her of my valid support; she is not alone. Her struggles are valid and real, and in acknowledging this, she finds our solidarity. When things like this happen, we may feel ashamed and find it hard to cope, yet even in such a dark time as this, we share our burdens, support one another, and find strength in our unity. She must not give up on her goal and she is encouraged to continue her philanthropic endeavours.”
