Davido wedding debt denied as Nigerian singer dismisses claims he owes $50,000 to the event planner of his Chioma wedding

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Davido has dismissed claims that he owes $50,000 to the event planning company behind his wedding to Chioma.

The singer described the allegation as “crazy” in a social media response on Sunday evening.

The controversy emerged after Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, CEO of the firm reportedly hired for the wedding, allegedly called out Davido for an outstanding payment.

The report circulated widely on social media, accompanied by a purported screenshot in which the event planner threatened legal action.

Davido responded on X, tagging the claims as absurd.

“This is just crazy atp (at this point),” he wrote, rejecting the suggestion that he had failed to settle the wedding account.
