“She was very dramatic,” IVD stated. “She would come to my office and give me a dirty slap for doing nothing.”

Bimbo passed away in October 2022 under controversial circumstances. Her death sparked national outrage and accusations against IVD.

The Lagos State government charged him with involuntary manslaughter. Meanwhile, Bimbo’s family accused him of causing her death.

Defending himself, IVD claimed Bimbo’s relatives launched a campaign to ruin him. He said they falsely accused him of having HIV and took away his assets and children.

“They took everything from me — the properties, her belongings, and my five kids. I haven’t seen my kids since,” he said.

Despite the fallout, IVD credited his new partner, Blessing CEO, for helping him cope. He said her support stopped him from ending his life. “Blessing was there for me when I was down,” he shared.

“I shed tears when she wore her wedding gown, she wore 36 of them, and I cried 36 times.”
