The Nollywood actress, through her legal team The Maverick Forte Legal, submitted the petition on July 29, 2025, to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, demanding an urgent review of the handling of her case by the NPF.

In the detailed petition, Iyabo Ojo revealed that during a recent interrogation at Force Headquarters in Abuja, VeryDarkMan, a social media personality and civilian, was improperly granted access to the room by Commissioner of Police Ifeanyi Henry Uche.

This is despite the fact that he is a defendant in a separate case in which she is a witness.

The actress claimed that this breach not only violated standard interrogation protocols but also led to the leakage of private session details online  allegedly by VeryDarkMan.

Iyabo described the incident as a tainted and partial inquiry, expressing loss of trust in the Abuja police office and vowing not to honor future invitations from that branch.

She further demanded that the investigation be transferred to Lagos, where she believes an independent and fair inquiry can take place.

The incident stems from her public call-out of Naira Marley in connection to the controversial death of singer Mohbad, a case that has remained emotionally charged and politically sensitive.
