Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ champ, Ijeoma Otabor, widely known as Phyna, sparks discussions with her candid abortion revelation.

During a chat with media figure Chude Jideonwo, Phyna confessed that nearly every woman has experienced one or more abortions in her past.

She disclosed her own abortion story from her younger years, which originally came up during a conversation with fellow BBN housemates.

Phyna stated, ‘When I exited the Big Brother house, many sought fame and attention. There was a discussion in the house, and I made that abortion remark along with others.

No woman can claim she hasn’t undergone it once or twice, understand? I didn’t give that interview; it was a house conversation, and I wasn’t the sole speaker. People shared their thoughts.

I can’t recall the context that day.’ She further explained, ‘I was taken aback when I saw it in the news after leaving the house. I informed my manager, and we considered addressing it seriously. People tend to talk, especially when you’ve just emerged.

Building your brand is crucial, and you don’t want to tarnish your reputation. When I left the house, I went through a lot, and I didn’t conduct that interview. It was what someone saw on TV.’”
