Sophia Momodu warns critics to stop spreading false stories about her daughter Imade, vowing legal action against those sharing fake narratives

Nigerian media personality and mother of Davido’s first child, Sophia Momodu, has issued a stern warning to critics over false narratives concerning her daughter, Imade.

The influencer addressed claims circulating on social media, including a post suggesting she prevented Imade from celebrating Davido’s birthday. Sophia responded firmly on her Snapchat page, emphasising that she is highly protective of her daughter.

“You people have been doing this false narrative thing for over 10 years now. And while I try to be as graceful as I can, I’m also a very protective mother.

Say whatever you want about me, it’s ok. But leave my child alone. This is non-negotiable. Imade is not a bargaining chip for her mother to conform,” she wrote.

She also criticised blogs and online platforms for spreading misleading information regarding her child’s well-being and revealed plans to take legal action against individuals or organisations responsible for sharing fake news.
