Madrina’s remarks follow the recent fallout between nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest and Afrobeat star Burna Boy, which has sparked discussions about industry dynamics.

Drawing from her own experience, Madrina shared a troubling incident from 2018 where she was paid ₦1 million for a performance but faced false accusations shortly after.

Taking to social media, Madrina revealed that after the event, allegations surfaced claiming she had made advances toward the event organisers and even stalked them.

The singer expressed her frustration with such baseless claims and urged her fellow artistes to stop accepting low fees for their performances, stressing the need to uphold their value.

“Make artiste no dey collect beggy beggy show again. Na so Maleke beg me to pay me ₦1 million for show for 2018. They later say na I toast them, say I even dey stalk them. Crãzy world,” she wrote.

Her candid post has sparked conversations online, with many supporting her stance on the importance of valuing one’s craft in an industry often plagued by exploitation and misrepresentation.
