Tems launches Leading Vibe initiative in Lagos to empower young women with music industry skills, production tools and mentorship during Aug 8–9 seminar

The Nigerian singer, songwriter and entrepreneur announced a two‑day seminar in Lagos set for 8–9 August, open to between 15 and 20 participants.

Tems launches Leading Vibe programme to support and mentor young women in music.

This bespoke initiative aims to “hone craft, sharpen industry knowledge and build community,” according to her press release.

The Leading Vibe seminar will include meet‑and‑greets with industry executives and creatives, hands‑on workshops on songwriting, music production tutorials, panel discussions and studio sessions.

Each attendee will gain access to production software and essential resources to help launch or accelerate their creative careers.

“My goal with the Leading Vibe Initiative is to help discover and support talented young women who have the potential to redefine the industry,” she said in her statement.

“By providing access, tools and opportunity, we’re creating space for them to find their voices, step into their power and shape the future of music across the continent and globally.”

Applications open now and close on 13 July. After this initial rollout in Lagos, Tems plans to expand the initiative to other African cities.

Tems launches Leading Vibe following her growing influence in music and business. She holds two Grammy Awards, the first Nigerian artist to earn multiple Grammys, and has achieved multiple top‑10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and US Afrobeats charts.

She also holds part‑ownership in Major League Soccer side San Diego FC through her company The Leading Vibe.
