At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Tems’ *Love Me Jeje* won *Best African Music Performance*, triumphing over Yemi Alade’s *Tomorrow*, Asake & Wizkid’s *MMS*, Chris Brown’s *Sensational* featuring Davido and Lojay, and Burna Boy’s *Higher*.

Following her historic win, Tems took to her X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday to appreciate Sodimu for his role in clearing the sample, which she believes has revived the original song’s legacy.
