Speaking on Pulse’s Hot Takes podcast, DeeOne argued that Genevieve’s choice to maintain a low profile and rarely engage with fans on social platforms is hurting her public image and weakening her connection with younger audiences.

“Genevieve not talking much on social media is not helping her. Genevieve not posting on social media every time is reducing her brand,” DeeOne stated.

“Let me rephrase it—anybody who is not posting constantly is not top of mind.”

In today’s world, relevance is earned online—if you’re not visible, you’re forgotten.

He further claimed that in today’s digital world, visibility equals relevance, especially in the Nigerian entertainment space where virality drives perception.

“What makes her different from other actresses? Number one from when? Since which year? Peller right now is more relevant on the internet space in Nigeria than Genevieve Nnaji,” DeeOne added, referring to the rising popularity of the TikTok content creator.

The remarks have stirred debate online, with many defending Genevieve’s legacy as a veteran actress whose influence extends beyond internet trends.

Still, DeeOne’s comments underscore a growing sentiment in modern entertainment circles that sustained digital engagement is now a key part of celebrity branding.
